The Day I Slaughtered a Goat
-------------------------------------------------------
We said goodbye to our dear friends and Kenyan family in Eldoret this evening. It’s difficult to say farewell because we’ve had such a wonderful time serving with them and getting to know them. God has done so much more than I could ever expect. I’m sure it will take years before we can fully understand the impact that God has made in this community over the past 3 weeks. We look forward to coming home and sharing our stories with you all. Thank you for your constant support! Our Kenyan friends are grateful for all your prayers.

See you, Eldoret!
It’s been amazing to see God working in the last few weeks here. Being able to minister to so many people has been awesome. The times of fellowship with those in the household and at the church and developing some amazing friendships. God has shown great favour during this trip. Things that we thought were negatives were flipped to positives. It’s kind of sad to leave now. I’ve learned a lot during this trip. Thanks for the prayer support we have felt it during our time here.

I absolutely cannot believe that our trip is coming to an end. Time passes by quickly! We said farewell to all our friends and family tonight and celebrated the evening with GOAT MEAT. Don’t worry, Praise is SAFE. She’s roaming around in the backyard somewhere. Anyway, I’m so incredibly thankful for this opportunity to serve God. It has been an amazing experience and I can’t wait to come home and share our stories with you! Thank you for all of your support!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------See you soon Kenya!
The last 3 weeks have been wonderful! I’ve had an amazing time here…I’m not too sure I’m ready to say good bye just yet. We’ve made some great friendships here and I hope that it continues when we get home. I will miss so much about this place…the people! the green, lush, scenery, the food (yes, goat meat is good!), the Sunday service and worship! and mostly our new Kenyan family. God really blessed us with them! Sniff sniff! On the other hand…I’m pretty excited to sleep on my own bed! See you all real soon!! Thanks for reading the blog and posting comments!! It has been very encouraging to read them all!! Even tho I have no idea who all the anonymous ppl are or the 1st comment or 2nd comment person... anyway! Talk to you later!

ReplyDeleteEnjoy your safari ... once in a lifetime! See you all soon.
ReplyDeleteWait a minute, there is one person's thoughts/update missing ... ??
ReplyDeleteKnew this trip would produce a casualty
ReplyDeleteOh no ... was she eaten by a lion?
ReplyDeleteThe team traded her in exchange for Praise's safety.
ReplyDeleteAny updates on the MIA? I think I saw a video on Youtube ... I'm afraid there might be a demand for ransom.
